The mesh is pretty strong and the bag is well built. However, using it for delicates with hooks results in the hooks entangling themselves to the bag and ripping it eventually. For this purpose I had to buy the bags with a very thin sieve type mesh. THis one works ok for non-hook items (mainly keeps large clothing from overstretching in the wash)

I bought these to wash socks and delicates in. They went through their first load yesterday. The stitching on the zipper came undone and the zipper pull on one fell off.
They might be good for storing things, but not for actual washing.
