Used it once. That was enough. Not worth the effort and it really didn't clean so well at all. Take your fine jewelry to the jewelry store.

This unit was purchased to replace a faulty unit purchased previously through Hammacher Schlemmer (& returned). I am very impressed with this jewelry cleaning device. It does an amazing job!

I WOULD GIVE THIS A NEGATIVE "STAR" IF I COULDFeb 11, 2010
The jewel jet promised to be a great tool for at home cleaning, but it only caused frustration & a headache. I purchased this from a well-knowned jeweler thru amazon and the item was defective. It would not steam at all. I contacted the seller and they shipped a replacement. The replacement was also defective! The steam escaped from the twist top where water is deposited (water reservoir) so when it came time to steam jewelry, there wasn't any steam left!! I am waiting for a reply from the merchant about my demand for a refund on the entire product. Maybe the merchant sells only defective items, but it is highly unusual for two to be dysfunctional. Very upset and was looking forward to using this item on my engagement ring & other jewelry.
