Not a headlight...foglight/blinkerSep 30, 2011

I purchased two of them hoping it would be a nice inexpensive items. Ever since June, I had to replace two of them since it started to die on me whenever I hit a bump. The other broken item was the mount attachment broke off on the screws. I tested them out just before dawn on a pitch dark bike trail and I managed to handle the course at half my normal speed. They definitely give off a nice white illumination but at around 50 lumens or less. The angle of the light can be changed on two ways, thanks to the hinged mount, though be careful it did break on me the first time. The instant mount needs a stronger plastic since it was breaking on me when I was trying to tighten it since it still points downward from time to time. Overall...it's a good fog light or a front blinker but I won't consider this as a headlight. I rather use my flashlight and headlamp since they give off over 100 lumens each.
Pros...nice white led and easy slide off to use as a flashlight. Cons...durability, brightness, and weak mount.

Decent while it worked.Jul 29, 2011
By Janice This bike light had six months of spotty performance. The light is certainly very bright and can easily be seen a hundred yards away. However, batteries seemed to have a shorter life when they were left inside the light. I would bike over a particularly hard bump and the light would suddenly go out. I would have to stand at the side of a dark path to unscrew the bike light, remove all three batteries, and reinsert them (which usually seemed to work). After three months of watching batteries die unfulfilled lives inside the light, I began carrying its unscrewed components around in a sandwich bag, and fewer batteries joined the ranks of their fallen comrades thereafter.
How it broke: I don't know. After checking it over and replacing the batteries with fresh ones, I concluded that there were no cracked or broken parts in the light. It just died. Disappointing product, will not buy again.
